Lacy Johnson

Lacy Johnson, Ice Miller LLPLacy Johnson, a partner and co-chair of the Public Affairs Group at Ice Miller LLP, focuses his practice on governmental services where he works as a lobbyist and public affairs counsel, sports and entertainment and gaming.

Mr. Johnson serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Airport Authority: also serves on the boards of Indiana Black Expo, American Pianists Association, Immigrant Welcome Center, IUPUI Advisory Board, Simon Youth Foundation, Indianapolis Downtown, Inc., the Skyline Club, Madame Walker Theatre Center and the Indiana Museum of African American History. He is a member of the United States Democratic Black Caucus, the Lawyers Council of the Indianapolis Civil Liberties Union, International Association of Chiefs of Police, Dean's Advisory Council of the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity. He previously served on the boards of Flanner House, Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), the Damien Center, the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center Advisory Board, and the Indianapolis Public Housing Agency Board. Mr. Johnson has been named in Who's Who in Black Indianapolis, and has been named an Indiana Super Lawyer.

A life-long resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lacy Johnson received his Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University in 1976. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, where he graduated in 1981. He is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana.

Before joining Ice Miller in 1993, Mr. Johnson served as Attorney, Government Relations Services, Sagamore-Bainbridge, Inc.; Director of Security for the Indiana State Lottery; Liaison with the Indiana General Assembly and Deputy Superintendent for Support Services of the Indiana State Police.
